We like Justin Bell. He’s not just a charming Englishman, he also can outdrive us just slightly (He won the GT2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998), outpedigree us (his dad is racing legend Derek Bell), and probably out-libation us (TBD). Bell also works as a broadcaster for the American coverage of the 24 Hours of Le Mans every year. That includes duties of pit-reporting, but his annual trip into the spectator areas for Grand Marnier crepes and interviews with slurry, sleep-deprived race fans provide so much entertainment.
We’re pretty sure Justin could talk his way into Area 51 using a Costco membership card, so we’re hardly surprised that this year at Le Mans he talked his way into a test drive of a brand-new, eye-catching-yellow Ford GT around the back roads near Le Mans. This is Justin Bell, but even he gets some supervision from Ford.
Since Ford hasn’t invited Roadkill to lean on a Ford GT over the backroads yet—we’re still hopeful—we’ll use this video show the gadgets and so forth on Ford’s newest halo car.
