We made a jaunt out back to the HOT ROD tech center to see what Editor-In-Chief Dave Freiburger was up to. He and Tech Center Manager Grant Peterson were busy installing a self-tuning FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 system to the 426 Hemi (which is now up to 484ci) that rests in the engine bay of Dave’s Go Mango 1970 Super Bee.
Due to the wonders of technology, replacing your carburetor with reliable fuel injection to your high-horse hot rod is a reality. In the EZ-EFI 2.0’s case, it can be used on motors as strong as 1200 hp. It’s also self-tuning, so you don’t need to hook up your laptop to make adjustments. With a throttle body featuring a Holley carb-style throttle linkage, and a harness with the fewest connection wires in the market, installing the FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 a job that any novice shade tree mechanic can handle.
Best of all, you will be able to view the installation on COMP Cams’ site in the near future – stay tuned as we’ll be sure to let you know when it goes live.
