Have you been watching The Grand Tour? You know, that show with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May that is totally not Top Gear? Well, it seems like maybe they’ve been paying attention to Roadkill and how cool we all are. And by “we,” we mean “Elana.” And by “paying attention,” we mean…Well, you get it.
It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that Meyers Manx dune buggies rule, which is why our editor Elana Scherr is building one: Here is her first post about it and an update. Coincidentally, the first The Grand Tour Special is coming out and, according to the special’s trailer, it will feature the inimitable three stooges traversing the mostly empty wilderness of Namibia* in Meyers Manx-style dune buggies. You will be able to stream the first part (of two) on Amazon Prime starting today (December 30).

We’re excited. Are you excited? We’re excited. Wait, we already said that.
Dune buggies! Tell us your favorite thing about them.
*Fun fact: Despite having only about 2 million people in the entire country, Namibia has a road course, a drag strip (that used to be an airfield), and an annual gravel rally. Wherever there are cars, people will race them.
