Welcome to our web site for Blue Rose Farm, LLC - a horse boarding facility, owned by Pamela and Larry Nelson, approximately 30 miles southeast of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, half way between Broadlands and Newman. We are also conveniently located within a half hour's drive or less of I-57, I-74, and I-70. Five minutes off US36, in case you are traveling across country with horses and need an overnight reststop.

Boarding packages from $145 to $325 per month depending on your horse's needs.

Full board includes:

  • up to $150 in feed and hay (Additional cost for hay over and above the $150 limit will be charged to boarder at market value.)
  • stall
  • daily stall cleaning
  • daily turnout on pasture or dry lot as appropriate
  • bi-monthly de-worming protocol
  • oral fly supplement for fly control
  • Free Animal Communication Sessions
  • Other boarding packages and options are available upon request - please email or give us a call. And, you are most welcome to stop by to see our facilities and chat!
  • We can also probably provide you with overnight, weekend, or other short term accomodations if you are traveling near our location and need to stop temporarily. We are just 19 miles East from I-57, 20 miles South from I-74, about 23 miles North from I-70, and just 4.5 miles North off US36.
  • 2008 Trail-et New Yorker bumper pull horse trailer (2-horse ramp straight load) for possible pickup/delivery or emergency transportation to U of I Vet Med facilities
  • By fall of 2010, we should have a smallish (31' x 39') indoor arena with expectations that we will be able to expand that to 39' x 54'.
  • Blue Rose Farm is just 30-35 minutes away from the University of Illinois and the College of Vet Med and Large Animal Clinic in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
  • We are also just 15 minutes west of Crosswinds Equine Rescue who are just south and east of Sidell. Crosswinds is a 501c3 Non-Profit run by Mike and AnnMarie Cross. All three of our horses were adopted from Crosswinds. Please visit their web site and help support what they do - they are just amazing with horses (they also are really fun people!).
